Hi, guests! Only 29 days left…and the clock is ticking. We’d like to collect all your social media images from the wedding and related events by using a consistent hashtag on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram:
Please use this hashtag and contribute your snaps to our digital photo album. See you soon!
Hey, everybody! The days are flying by, and we’re less than three months away from the big day!
In case you were wondering, we chose February for our wedding because the weather is usually great. It typically has a very low probability for rain, and the average temperature is in the low- to mid-70s during the day. At night, it’ll probably dip below 70, so we recommend bringing a light jacket, sweater or wrap. Also, the Keys can be windy (typically more so in the afternoon), so keep that in mind. Sunset is around 6:15 p.m., so that’s why the ceremony is a little earlier than normal.
A word on the dress code: We suggest “country club casual” for the wedding, which means polos, khakis, casual dresses/outfits, etc. The overall vibe is beachy and laid-back, so be comfortable. We will be on sand for the ceremony, but it’s an artificial beach (the Keys have few natural beaches), so the sand is hard-packed. Ladies, your heels should be fine.
Check out the latest addition to our wedding site: This Reception Song Request form allows you, our guest, to offer your two cents about what songs you want to hear during the party. Does a beach wedding call for calypso and reggae, or do the Top 40 hits get the crowd moving the most? What about those golden oldies? We know you have an opinion…so let us know!
So it’s time to start planning! We’re making tons of inquires about DJs, desserts and decorations and it’s all starting to take shape. Room block info will be posted soon, along with the registry and some how-to videos (more on that soon).
