It all starts with Marci. In 2007, she and Daniel connected online and went on a blind date. They enjoyed each other’s company, but there was clearly no love connection. The two kept in touch until Marci’s new coworker, Chelsea, became single in 2010. Channeling her inner yenta, Marci told each one about the other, but Daniel was between jobs and didn’t want to meet up until he was in a better financial place. So the setup was put on the back-burner for a few months.
One day, Daniel commented on a photo of Marci and Chelsea on Marci’s Facebook…and Chelsea commented back. That began the first conversation, which soon led to the first date, on June 29. Chelsea chose bowling, preferring that fun-loving atmosphere versus the typical dinner-and-an-interview variety. Over pitchers of cheap beer, the two talked like old friends, feeling perfectly at ease with each other. The second, third and fourth dates followed soon after, with Daniel trekking up from Plantation to see Chelsea in Ocean Ridge.
After dating for six months, Daniel moved in with Chelsea (and wiener dog Finnegan) before Christmas. The good times continued to roll, and Daniel proposed to Chelsea on June 29, 2012, on the beach just steps from their home.
